S. Korean Actor Lee Min Ho in Cebu Donates 10,000 Printed T-shirts for Duterte Supporters

South Korean Actor Lee Min Ho visits Cebu for the first time to promote the clothing line Bench.

The actor who is known for his hit Korean drama “City Hunter” was welcomed by more than 10,000 fans who gathered earlier not only to see the actor, but to attend the campaign rally of Davao City Mayor and presidential bet Rodrigo Duterte in the same place.

Lee was overwhelmed by the number of people who welcomed him, but when his local organizer told him that some people have other personality to see, the actor bow with agreement.

“I cannot endorse or support any candidate because I can’t vote here, but seeing how you are supportive of your candidate, my heart is touched”, Lee addresses tens of thousands of fans who shouted “Goon Joon Pyo” referring to his titular character in “City Hunter”.

Some who attended wears Duterte T-Shirt, a thing that called the actor’s attention.

“I am just wondering why many of you wear a Duterte shirt. Of course I heard about him. My local organizer told me that she is supporting him. I am curious how it feels to wear a Duterte shirt”, the actor continued.

A number of fans at in the right wing chanted for “Duterte Duterte Duterte”, prompting the actor to announce that he is donating 10,000 Duterte shirts “so that everyone would be happy”.

Earlier that day, Mayor Duterte welcomed the endorsement of One Cebu – Cebu’s most influential and biggest local political party lead by the powerful Garcia clan.

Duterte’s camp welcomed that actor’s donation which Lee’s organizers finalized later that day.

Although Lee Min Hoo did not say that he is supporting a Filipino candidate, he said that he heard a lot about “great works of Duterte in Davao City”. /Dada Africa/
