Russian Newspaper Says the World Needs 100 Presidents like Putin and Duterte

Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda praised Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte for his courage and “manly approach” in dealing with bias Western media.

On its November 21 circulation, Komsomolskaya Pravda, a Russian political tabloid said “the world needs 100 leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines”.

“The world needs leaders who can confront every problem with best possible solutions. Presidents who are independent, can stand on their own feet without being commanded by other bigger countries like the United States of America and UK”, the paper said.

The paper also praised Duterte for its decision to befriend with Putin and China, saying “this is a great start of new chapter between Russia and the Philippines”.

The tabloid also took a swipe on American military activities in the Middle East and Africa.

The world needs peace and not war. Other countries need to realize that the West is starting wars for their own business interests. Countries like America needs wars in order to make money from selling arms and war-related products”, the paper said.

President Putin has invited President Duterte to visit Russia, but Malacañang did not release any information about Duterte’s schedule and possible trip yet.

“The people of are excited to meet Duterte”, the paper added. /David Fortun/facebook-share
