Raffy Tulfo: CHR, Ombudsman Conspires with Drug Syndicates to Oust Gen. Bato Dela Rosa

Veteran journalist and radio host Raffy Tulfo said that Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales and the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) have conspired with drug syndicates to oust Police Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

During his regular program Aksyon sa TV with co-anchor Niña Taduran on Wednesday, Tulfo said they have a very reliable source that the the drug syndicates are turning their attention to the Ombudsman and CHR in order to oust Gen. Dela Rosa that would lead to the stoppage of war on drugs.

Tulfo also accuses Carpio of being one-sided and criticized the latter for her performance during the previous Aquino administration.

“Bakit nong panahon ni Aquino na padrino nyo sa daming mga suwail hindi nyo pinansin. Bakit ngayon e kapirasong butas sinisilip nyo?”,Tulfo said referring to the Ombudsman who proves Dela Rosa’s Las Vegas travel to watch Pacquiao’s fight.

Dela Rosa earlier said his travel was a gift from Pacquiao and he was on official leave of absence during the visit.

The law prohibits elected officials from receiving gifts from private people, but the case of Dela Rosa and Pacquiao is a different according to Tulfo as both are ” mag kumpare” even before Dela Rosa was appointed as police chief. Furthermore, Dela Rosa is an appointed official and not elected, and Pacquiao is an elected official as well, making their case a different one.

Tulfo and Taduran reiterated that they have a very reliable source about the alleged conspiracy between CHR, Morales, and the drug syndicates./Julius Torres/
