Separate organized gatherings have been conducted around the world on Friday to support presidential candidate Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
In Dubai, more than 6,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) gathered at Zaabel Park Dubai, United Arab Emirates on February 5, 2016 .
Asked why she was there, OFW Agnes Salamanca said she wanted to show her support for Duterte and wanted to sing Jingles for Du30 campaign.
Mira Cagandahan, acting leader of the group OFW Global Movement said, the same gatherings happened in Riyadh, KSA, Doha, Qatar, Milan, Italy, US, Canada, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Japan.
Cagandahan said that their movement is worldwide and joined by more than 1 million OFWs.
OGM is the first recognized OFW group that is not considered advocate of anything unlike Migrante International.
In an interview with Cagandahan, she said that Duterte promised to visit the group during his campaign period.
Cagandahan added that more than 95% of their members supports Duterte’s candidacy.
“We wanted change and we believe only Mayor Duterte can give us the change the country needs”, Cagandahan said.
In Seoul, OGM leader Patricio Casapao told the media that they plan to hold another gathering on Saturday, February 13, 2016 with more members are coming to campaign for Duterte.
Duterte’s campaign schedule might be fully booked if he plan to visit all of these groups.

Duterte is tied with Roxas, Binay, and Santiago slightly behind Grace Poe in the recent survey conducted by Pulse Asia, but OFWs said they were not included in the survey so it does not make any sense.
There are around 1.3 million OFW voters outside the Philippines according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and if Duterte gets 90% of these voters, his win is guaranteed according to political lawyer Ernesto Bravo.
