Pork Barrel Queen Janet Lim Napoles told media on Thursday that there will be at least 180 congressmen under the Aquino administration, and at least three sitting senators to face graft charges if the government allows her to be a state witness.
Napoles hinted that most the said lawmakers are under Liberal Party, with at least one independent Senator. She also added that the lawmakers managed to pocket at least P10 million each during the course of their terms.
Earlier, only Senators Bong Revilla, Juan Ponce Enrile, and Jinggoy Estrada were charged. Noe of the three is under Liberal Party.
Napoles also said that it was a selective justice system under the Aquino administration that sent the three senators to jail.
Mrs. Napoles hinted that four senators, including an independent male has amassed more than 50 million pesos each of pork barrel money, but declined to give additional details.
Currently, the only independent male sitting senators are Sen. Francis Escudero, Sen. Ping Lacson, Sen. Richard Gordon, and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
According to the Department of Justice, it will be unlike for Napoles to become a state witness since she is the principal respondent, but it is not ruling-out the possibility if she can provide substantial information about the scope of Pork Barrel Scam. /Lucy Vasquez/
