Cebu City | Rueline “Roa” Yanson Duterte of Cebu talked to Radyo Totoo on Monday about how her name was dragged into Trillanes-Duterte circus.
As called “Roa Duterte” (nee Yanson) by many, she is a member of a powerful and influential Yanson clan of Bacolod City, which owns the Philippines’ biggest bus company based on the island.
Roa’s official residence is in Cebu City, but she maintains several real estate properties in her hometown province in the island of Negros, particularly in Bacolod City.
Her name was dragged into the circus when her mansion in Sta. Clara Subdivision, in Bacolod City was included in the list of properties allegedly owned by Davao City mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Yanson said, she and her family are not into politics, and she is wondering how Trillanes acquired information on her private property.
“Siguro yong nagbigay sa kanya (Trillanes) ng info, nong makita na nakapangalan kay Roa Duterte, inakalang kay Mayor Duterte na”, Roa told Radyo Totoo.
(I guess someone who gave him information thought that it was owned by Mayor Duterte after seeing “Roa Duterte” is the owner)
Yanson-Duterte further noted that her lawyer is already preparing to file multiple charges if the senator’s camp will not clear her name and accept his mistake publicly.
“I think he really needs to acknowledge his mistake publicly. I am not related to the Mayor and I barely know him. Telling people that I am one of the mayor’s dummies is libelous information”, Roa added.
As reported earlier, a Duterte dentist from Cagayan de Oro City also voiced out his concern on social media, when his house loaned from BPI was included in the controversial lists of alleged Duterte properties. Contributed by Lala Jimenez, Cebu City
