A software engineer working in National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has warned political opponents of the Aquino Government, that Internet connection during the Election Day might be intermittent, extremely slow, or totally shut down.
The employee, who asked the media not to reveal his real name in fear of losing his job, said, the government urged Internet Service Providers to do maintenance during Election Day.
The senior programmer also said that the three big ISPs were offered tax cuts if Mar Roxas become the next president.
“President Aquino is very desperate now that he will do everything, not for Mar Roxas to win, but for Bongbong Marcos and Duterte to lose”, he said.
“Syempre pag walang internet, papano makapagconnect and mga tao sa social media para i-report ang irregularities?” the programmer added.
He also ask the public to take screenshot photos of complains by other people so that in case the Internet shuts down, people still have copies of complains.
Teddy Locsin Jr. also tweeted the same thought.
Here’s what can happen starting Saturday and reaching its apex on Monday: Internet will get spotty so no one can spread news of cheating.
