The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo is allegedly alarmed over the rumor, that COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista has revealed “something disastrous” on President Rody Duterte on Tuesday, the report said.
Atty. Jessica Hernandez, member of Robredo’s staff said they already sent a letter to the office of Bautista asking details about the content of the closed-door meeting with Duterte.
Rumors spread after the Bautista-Duterte meeting, that the former allegedly told Duterte that he got 21 million votes instead of the recorded 16 million, and that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. won the Elections and not Robredo.
“This rumor is alarming and could create confusion to the Filipino people”, Hernandez told reporters on Wednesday.
“We asked the chairman politely and we hope an honest answer as soon as possible”, Hernandez added referring to the letter sent to Bautista.
The Office of the COMELEC has yet to issue a response, but the Malacañang Palace did not give any comment on the issue.
Robredo has a lot of things to worry about following the release of an alleged #NagaLeaks. The meeting between Bautista and Duterte is another thing to worry about. /Cathy Jimenez/Disclaimer: Contributed articles does not reflect the view of Okd2.com.
