Group Releases P7M Budget to Counter Online Duterte Supporters

A group believed to be connected to Liberal Party (LP) has reportedly released seven million pesos to fund Internet trolls and fake social media account holders to combat online Duterte supporters, a source who has direct knowledge about the group told Pinoy Observer.

Critics of President Rodrigo Duterte has long been accusing the camp of the president, especially Bong Go, in funding social media trolls to destroy Duterte’s critics, but the allegations remains hearsay with the absence of evidence.

According to the source, the 7M-peso fund was part of the fund sent by Loida Nicholas-Lewis and other anti-Duterte Fililipino-Americans last week to BAYAN Secretary general Renato Reyes Jr.

Reyes’ party BAYAN reportedly received $1.5 million dollar (P75M) from the Fil-Am Group.
