Duterte Supporters: Trillanes is Garbage, Opportunist Rebel

Supporters of Davao City mayor and leading presidential bet Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday lambasted senator and vice presidential candidate Antonio Trillanes IV, over 200M he claimed the mayor have in his BPI bank account.

Sen. Trillanes accused Duterte of not declaring the 200M he allegedly owned in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).

On the same day, Duterte admit he owned the BPI account, but denied it has 200M pesos.

Supporters of the mayor scored Trillanes calling the senator “garbage, social cancer, and opportunist rebel” which became viral on twitter and Facebook.

Netizens who support Duterte were enraged over Trillanes’ accusations.

In his post, FB user Bernabe Gomez blasted Trillanes:

“COMELEC should have been declared Trillanes a nuisance candidate before the campaign period started. Only in the Philippines where criminals like this opportunist can run for a public office and swindle more people. People should remember his Oakwood mutiny and should denounce his candidacy. How can he be proud when his fellow Magdalo Group did not supported his candidacy? This idiot should not be in the ballot”

Trillanes was known for leading the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny when he and some 300 junior officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines took over the Oakwood towers in Makati City as protest for alleged rampant corruption in the Philippine government – in the Armed Forces of the Philippines in particular – and the prevalence of social injustice all over the country. He was charge and detained for more than seven years after being charged with rebellion.

“Trillanes just wanted to be on the headlines again because he knew he will never have the chance to be the next VP. What a waste of time. Kapwa basura lang ni Trillanes and boboto sa kanya. Ginamit lang ang Militar para sa sariling ambisyon”, another FB user Triny Mateo said. /Aldrin San Pedro/
