Cristy Fermin: LP Pays Celebrity Endorsers Millions of Pesos

Cristy Fermin has yet again made a powerful statement about the huge pay that Liberal Party allocates to compensate artists who accept their offers for endorsements.

Fermin has been so open in disagreeing with reports saying that celebrity endorsers of LP candidates did not receive any compensation for their services during the previous elections. She was said to publish such stand in her column Bulgar on Saturday, October 31.

According to her, the Liberal Party spokesperson has made a huge lie in saying that the artists have voluntarily made their services for free just to endorse the chosen LP candidates. It is true that presidential sister Kris Aquino have invited a significant number of artists who came to help for free but not all of the artists came with the same stand. Comparing it with taking legal services from lawyers, the party is said to pay huge.

Fermin has once been an agent for LP in the previous elections. She was tasked to select celebrities and bands to join the political rallies. However, she had let go of the job and had let the parties negotiate among themselves as she was not paid doing such arrangements.

She has been so confident in revealing her story since she has been a part of previous campaigns together with artists and singers who have travelled across the country. She said, “Personal naming mapaninindigan ang kuwentong ito dahil maraming artista at singers silang isinasama sa pag-ikot sa buong Pilipinas na sa amin pa nga idinadaan ng partido and kanilang imbitasyon.”

In the 2010 elections, there were several celebrities who have endorsed Benigno Aquino III when he ran for presidency.

Fermin also cite Kathryn Bernardo as an example after LP allegedly paid the actress 20 million pesos, resulting to her expulsion from Iglesia Ni Cristo. /Malou Peralta/facebook-share
