Marketing companies are trying to ride the wave of Jeyrick Sigmaton (aka carrot man) – the new social media phenomenon whose photos went viral last week.
According to a leaked report from one of GMA Network employees who works in marketing department, three advertising companies contacted their office three days after Jessica Soho aired her interview with Stigmaton.
It was reported earlier that GMA-7 was said to have won the bidding war, reportedly getting an exclusive contract with Sigmaton until the end of February.
According to the employee who asked not to identify her, three men’s health and men’s inner wear companies are interested in hiring Stigmaton. She also said that another personal care company offered to groom him, but Stigmaton couldn’t decide yet.
“Everything is up for the GMA-7 who currently holds Carrot Man’s contract. It took AlDub several months before GMA decided to let them do TV commercials and I think it will be the same with the Carrot Man”, the source said.
On Saturday and Sunday (February 27 and 28), people in Baguio who waited for the carrot man slept in pavement because he went straight to Manila instead of attending the Panagbenga Festival parade.
“Let hope we see him on TV soon”, the source said.
