Two former top-ranking Chinese diplomats, who assigned in Chinese embassy in Manila, told the Office of the Presidential Communications, that they are willing to testify for the Philippine government in case the latter ask their help to clear the issue on West Philippine Sea during the previous administration.
The two Chinese officials, who requested not to announce their names on public, said they are the ones who connected Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, to Chinese opposition officials.
The diplomats also said that Trillanes’ previous trips were not sanctioned by Chinese government, as Trillanes met opposition officials critical to Xi Jin Ping’s administration.
Trillanes was accused Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile two years ago of selling the Spartly Islands to China.
Enrile earlier also said he have enough evidence to charge Trillanes over betrayal of public trust, but did give further details about the said evidences.
The two senators previously argued during a senate hearing a couple of years ago.
The Duterte government is planning to file charges against Trillanes, Aquino, and other personalities who were involved in DAF and PDAF scam.
