Breaking News: Joma Sison Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, NPA Victims Rejoices

The founder of the National Democratic Front (NDF), and leader of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), Jose Maria Sison is reported to have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

NDF/CPP is the political arm of the terrorist group, New People’s Army (NPA).

The news broke out after Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad, reported on its column on Friday.

The report said Sison is diagnosed with severe pancreatic cancer on December 21, 2016, but the rebel leader did not reveal his condition to the members of his terrorist groups in fear that his falling condition might result to disintegration of NPA.

The paper also said that Sison’s condition is worsening, and because of his age (78 years old), doctors ruled out the possibility of surgery.

The Coalition of NPA Victims (CNV) considered Sison’s worsening health condition as “good news”.

“We may not get justice through legal battle, but the death of the evil will surely vindicate our dead families. Sison will have the worst legacy. He will die as an evil and will always be remembered as such”, CNV leader Atty. Noel Acosta said.

The New People’s Army refused to comment on the matter. Satur Ocampo, high profile communist rebel said, his group is still verifying the news from The Netherlands.

Sison, the father of the Philippine communism has been living in The Netherlands on the expense of revolutionary tax extorted from Filipino businessmen by the New People’s Army.

“It’s paying time. We hope that the Dutch government will reject any burial ground for him. He cannot go back to the Philippines either. His remains should be thrown away”, Acosta added

Although Sison is still considered an important figure in the NPA group, many believe he lost control after several breakaway rebel groups were formed during the Cory-Ramos administration. /Nikki Maliksi/
